Government Degree College Jawalamukhi established in 2016. The department of commerce is an integral part since the inception of the college. The department has 6 class rooms, two smart boards and 2 professors. The department offers a diverse academic experience to students. Along with the traditional Bachelor of Commerce program, the department has also introduced a Master of Commerce and Management course designed to meet the emerging demands of the contemporary business scenario. This program holds a special significance as it equips students with advanced managerial skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a keen understanding of global business practices. Students of the Commerce Department will be able to find jobs in fields such as CA, CS, Accountant, Auditor, and Teaching, etc. The focus is on imparting a good education to succeed in various fields of business both in India and abroad. The faculty also encourage students to organize events such as national seminars, inter-college and inter-departmental meetings, participate in events organized by other colleges, and take part in activities of social relevance. It enables them to think creatively and develop the right mindset to face the challenges of the global business environment through value-based education, interpersonal relationships and outreach programmes. With all these inputs students are hardworking, practical-oriented and effective in any work environment.
