Why Choose FFPSR Govt. College Jawalamukhi?

Established in the year 1999, the formerly privately managed Jawalaji Degree College, Jawalamukhi, was run under the auspices of Jawalaji Shiksha Samiti and was taken over by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Higher Education, on 8th June 2016. It is a pioneer of higher education in the Kangra district, particularly in the Jawalamukhi Assembly Constituency.

Established in 1999, the formerly privately managed Jawalaji Degree College, Jawalamukhi, was run under the auspices of Jawalaji Shiksha Samiti and was taken over by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Higher Education, on 8 June 2016. It is a pioneer of higher education in the Kangra district, particularly in the Jawalamukhi Assembly Constituency.

The motto of the college, “Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye” — ‘Knowledge is that which liberates’ — truly inspires our students to become real-life soldiers, defending and preserving our traditions and territory through knowledge and wisdom.

Anti Ragging Cell

We are proud of the fact that our college aims at maintaining a healthy and congenial academic environment shall be free from the menace of ragging. Ragging in the college campus is banned and any one indulging in ragging is likely to be punished appropriately. To deal with the menace of ragging an anti-ragging cell has been established at the college.

Scholarships

The college offers various scholarships and awards to poor and meritorious students, regulated by the rules available in the college.
Government of India Scheduled Tribe/Caste Scholarships Students Aid Fund Stipend IRDP Scholarships Maharishi Valmik Chhatravrity Yojna to the girl students belonging to the families of those engaged in unclean occupations. Minority Students Scholarship Scheme Handicapped Scholarships District Soldier Board Scholarships These scholarships are awarded to students as per norms and rules prescribed by the department. The students should apply for these scholarships through an application recommended by the tutor. A student who fails to show satisfactory results in the House Test shall forfeit his/her claim to concession or other financial assistance.o.
